Why is it that Mormons skin is so thin......?

I mean, they talk smack about my religion daily and yet the minute I ask a question about theirs....look out...it's hell fire and damnation.

oh boy, here I go again. They are going to be all over this...

Why is it that Mormons skin is so thin......?
it really, honestly isn't just the Mormons.

this should show us all that we each have our own faith. is it better that we honor another person's faith or attack it? what are the benefits of honoring another person's faith? what are the benefits of attacking it?

perhaps this will give you a chance to really think about how you ask questions. i don't know. i just think it is alot easier for everyone if we all play nice.
Reply:Maybe it was HOW you asked your question not the question itself. Just something to think about.
Reply:I am LDS. I didn't see your question, so it isn't fair of me to speculate on how that played out.

I'm sorry that you have had some bad experiences with other LDS. I have to say that no group of people in any belief system is perfect. Every group has their nice people and their rude people. I'm not one for "talking smack" about any religion. I'm sorry that you've had this done to you before. I can relate to what you are saying.

I think there's good in everyone. It's not always easy to see at first, though, and it's not always easy to stay patient with other people.

Have a nice night.
Reply:I'm LDS and i have to say that there is a saying that is said in our Church a lot that the Church is true, some of the members aren't. I don't think that it's fair for you to judge everyone so harshly, I'm sorry you have had some bad run ins. post your question you could be surprised.
Reply:They can dish it but they can't take it.
Reply:they are the poke-d-ing spellers on to them and on to others. Yeah , yeah , the winning games to be the WASTE .
Reply:Mormonism has historically been under the microscope ever since J Smith announced he found gold plates (He didn't mention the 'vision' until many years later), and the doctrine has been picked apart by scholars, scientists, and even Mark Twain. So, naturally, proponents of the church tend to be a bit testy about criticism of their church, and take it personally.

It's part of the culture within the church to demonstrate that they are the possessors of the only complete truth, and the rest of the world is gravely mislead. This leads some younger members to act like they're in an exclusive country club, and "nanner nanner" to you. Hopefully these kids will grow up and will stop alienating people.

Take it with a grain of salt. There's more important things to worry about.
Reply:Maybe we just get tired of being bashed all the time... there are so many misconceptions about the church, it's just hard to always let things "roll off" our shoulders, we are humans too.

We are constantly told we are "going to hell" by other's because of our beliefs...which really, no one has the authority or right to tell another where they are going when they die. We are not the judge here or in the next life.

Sorry you were mistreated.
