Reply:Please explain in more detail what you mean by "thin skin". When I did Histology, we were taught that "thick skin" was found on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet, while "thin skin" was found on the rest of the outside of the body. (Then, there were a few other areas of sqamous epithelium, generally called "mucous membranes", that lined various orifices.)





You seem to be referring to some pathological condition, I think. Are you thinking of the various congenital defects that result in very fragile skin, in so - called "cotton wool babies"?
