well in my experience it is usually according to season, autumn oranges are the sweetest (also they need to be really orange not orange %26amp; a bit green!)
Are oranges sweeter with thick skin than thin?
i only eat madarin oranges so i could not tell you.

Reply:I'm not sure about the skin, but I do know that while you're checking out the oranges, weigh each orange in your hand. You can compare one orange in your left and one in your right--drop the lightest feeling one and go on to compare more. The heavier it is, the more juicier it is.
Reply:actually i found this to be the other way around, not only were they sweeter but juicier too

Reply:I kind of think thicker..plus, when you peel them, if the skin breaks off into many little pieces, it'll be really sweet...just something I found out..
