Go back to your piercer (or another piercer you trust if you prefer) and see if he thinks your piercing is correct for your body. Some people do have small amounts of skin to pierce and are fine. If you piercing appears to have changed positions from where it was when you got pierced, then yes you may have a problem.

Sometimes piercings move to find themselves a more comfortable place to rest. They go a certain distance, get comfy and never bother to move again. Other times a piercing can migrate due to improper jewlery fit, constant tugging from clothes or sleeping, or it can just have been in the wrong place to start with.

Your piercer will be able to take a look at your belly and see if he spots anything that could be causing migration and if there is anything obvious he can do about the situation. At the worst, youll have to take it out and have it repierced. On the bright side, scar tissue from a previous belly piercing can help keep the new one in place.
Reply:When i first got mine periced they did it with lil bit of skin like im scared its gunna rip out but its fine ive had it for 3 years now.....im like really skinny.....19yrs old and I weight 85lbs so i didnt have much skin to pierce...you should be fine....
