Even though I exfoliate regularly, I have a thin, invisible layer of grey clay on my skin.?
When I take a shower or bath (and my skin is fully wet), I am able to scratch the clay off my skin. I assumed it was dirt at first, but I don't live in a high clay area, and I exfoliate and shower regularly, so what is happening?

It is not clay, it is dead skin cells. Perfectly normal. Just wash it off. Nothing to worry about.

It should heal, or keloid then it will have to be surgically removed. Do you realize that if you gauge them too far they will have to be surgically closed? Going past a 0 or a 00 is very risky. You will have to see a plastic surgeon (most likely not covered by insurence) to cut off and sew your ear back. My sister did the same thing, gauged her ears. She wanted flesh tunnels, now she has flesh tunnels for life unless she goes to the doc.

I think you're trying to keep your ears gauged, and you want to increase sizes, though.
In any case, you should reduce them the same way you gauged them: Use a taper and get halfway to the next size up (this will make your ear vaunerable) then put in a plug that is one gauge down from your current size. You'll notice that your ear will hold on to that plug for dear life. :D

Massage the tissue every chance you get. Using emu oil or Vitamin E oil when you massage will help with the oxygen flow to the area and promote tissue growth. Massaging with oils isn't necessary, it may speed things up though.

As a result of another member on this site posting a question asking if atheists had a better sense of humor than religious fundamentalists, I decided to put that idea to the test. I posted the "Allah %26amp; Jesus" question about a fictional boxing match between them then later posted "Allah %26amp; Jesus Part Two" because of the various witty responses to that post.
Two religious people did not see the humor in this. They were offended to the point where they had both posts deleted. I was not angry or hurt by this action. I was surprised by it.
As a result of this action, I've come to the conclusion that perhaps the original post was correct. Atheist DO have a substancially better sense of humor. They can see the satire and irony in it all. Religious fundamentalists are another story. Given that they had my posts deleted, would you not agree that they have little or no sense of humor and are very thin skinned?

Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. When I was bodybuilding, I had real firm shapely breasts...now I am a bit lazier, they are not as good, but, every so often I get enthusiastic and go to a gym and work out hard, and they firm up immediately.
What you do is build and tone the muscles that support the breast, and thats what makes the breasts firmer. Swimming is also a great exercise, and any gym can give you the right exercises to do.
So go do exercises and I will guarantee you firmer breasts in as soon as 3 months, and they will get firmer still in 6 months.
Then you have to keep up the exercises to maintain them.

Get 2 cans of soup (what ever U want) of equal weight. Lay on the floor. Put your arms out like a cross. Lift both arms at the same time toward the ceiling and back again to the floor. Start out maybe 15 times and keep raising the # over time. Its works similar to ISOMETRICS. Once you feel confident you can find a new place to lay, a bit elevated off the floor. When you do the exercises, allow your arms to fall a bit below your body. This will also increase your flexibility. Good luck.

The tattoo I got on my inner wrist hurt, but not terribly much. The only bad part was when the needle crossed the tendon/ligament on the wrist (if you bend your hand in toward your wrist, it should be very visible). That part hurt pretty badly, but it didn't last long. I've never been tattooed on another part of my body, though, so I don't know if it hurts more or less than other places.

Use Hydrozole cream and continue using it up til one or two week after the infection clears. however I think hydrozole is prescription only medication. Go to your doctor to have it checked if you really want to be sure.

I have eczema and I have to use steroid creams to treat it. One of the side effects of steroid creams is thinning of the skin. It's bad when you start to have redness or flaking skin all over your face, making your acne look worse, but the good side of it is, it goes away after you stop using the medication for a while, or reduce the frequency of application.
Good luck in your acne cure. I've severe acne and am using a combination of BHA, AHA and benzoyl peroxide to control it, after having tried out retinoids and found out that my skin can't take it - my skin peels terribly and my face became red as a tomato each time I applied it.
Reply:Retin a will not thin the skin. Steroids are about the only topical known to thin the skin. It will dry your skin out and make it peel.

How can you treat a burn to upper layer of skin that is thin and is it dangerous??
I think it depends on how large it is but it sounds like a minor burn which is not spreadable nor dangerous to the rest of your skin. Try using neosporin to keep the wound clean. It might bubble up and burn a bit but I wouldn't worry if its only the thin top layer. Keep in mind that our body will tell us if the wound needs medical attention, if so, contact your doctor. Hope this helps:-) Oh! and an old wives tale remedy "rubbing it with butter."

Thinning skin on wife's wrist due to cortisone injection 16 months ago. A wrist watch tears skin. Any help?
The doctor said the cortisone would thin the skin but she didn't know it would be this severe. A gentle bump will tear the skin. She'll go to dermatologist if there is really anything that will help. Or have others found anything that will reduce the skin tears?

I'm 24, I have thin dry facial skin. I never had pimples and now I am getting them under my nose, chin, face.
My face used to be really clear and now I have 5 red, painful pimples in a perfect triangle from the bottom of my new along the side of my face to the bridgeof my nose. I am embarassed to go outside. I've never broken out like this before. I am using this cetaphil generic target brand facial cleanser for my face, I wash my face once a day. I don't put any moisturizer on and I need help. I don't want to dry my face out, but I keep getting pimples under my nose and under my chin that never go away, and my face now. Help!

GIVEN BELOW ARE A FEW SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES TO FIGHT PIMPLES.
1.The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care. Regular washing of the affected areas with mild soap is a must.The soap need not necessarily contain any chemicals designed to prevent pimples .However, face washing should not be overdone or the skin will become dehydrated .
2.Care should be taken on makeup,moisturizers and other skin care products.If these products are oil based,it would just make the problem worse. Use water based products instead.
3.Generally we rub, press or squeeze our pimples.Don’t when we do this,we risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.
4.Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic
quality.
5.Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.
6.Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.
7.Before bathing, apply a mixture of fresh tomato pulp, honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty minutes before washing off.
8.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples.Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result.
9.Directly rub potato slices all over the face, helps to get rid of blemishes and
pimple scar.
10.Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices.
11.Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars.
12.Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, salads, fresh juices, fish and
yogurt.These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.
13.Another overnight home remedy for pimples is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. Calamine lotion also will have the same drying effect.
14.Pound orange peel with water and apply to affected areas.
15.Another useful remedy for pimples is zinc. Which can be taken in a dose of 50 mg daily for a month and then reduce the dose.

You could use neosporin, but don't mess with the area. That way it will heal with no scarring. Alot of the redness should be gone by morning.

Reply:It is painful, but does not hurt for me. If you thought that the inner arm hurt, then this will hurt a lot. I had the inner arm done and liked the feeling, same with every other part I've gotten tattoo-ed.
Reply:It seems to hurt twice as bad! All depending if you have thick or thin skin around your ribs! When the needles go over the ribs, it seems to vibrate or whatever and it hurts!
But if you have a high pain tolerance..you might be ok! LOL

Reply:Yea ribcage is sensitive! One of my tattoos is on my foot and it hurt really bad. Rib's and feet are probably the worst places to get them. But if you take the pain it's totally worth it in the long run. Most tattoo places also have numbing cream now. I didnt have it for mine but it really would have helped!

all i can suggest is that when you go in, get as relaxed as possible because you will in a uncomfortable spot for a while.

Reply:Yea ribcage is sensitive! One of my tattoos is on my foot and it hurt really bad. Rib's and feet are probably the worst places to get them. But if you take the pain it's totally worth it in the long run. Most tattoo places also have numbing cream now. I didnt have it for mine but it really would have helped!
Reply:i have tats on the tops of my feet, which is kinda like the ribcage- in that it is sensitive and thin skinned, but from friends with ribcage tattoos i hear that it hurts like hell! if you've got a little chub over the ribs i hear it helps, but if you're skin and bones, you're screwed. good luck!

all i can suggest is that when you go in, get as relaxed as possible because you will in a uncomfortable spot for a while.

Well it is my opinion that there are two main reasons.
1) So they can encourage and spread more lies about Atheists
2) They are very close-minded to hear the opinions of Atheists because their faith is very fragile and they have very thin skin.
